This Privacy Policy explains what information Wellness Housing collects through wellnesshousing.org, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. Wellness Housing rents beds in shared houses in South Los Angeles.
Information Wellness Housing Collects
Information you give us. When you send a message, apply online or refer a client, the form asks for:
- Your name, phone number and, if you choose, your email address
- Your message
- On the online application: when you need a bed, how the rent will be paid, which house interests you and whether a shared room works for you
- On the case manager referral: your client's first name or initials, how your client's rent will be paid, when your client needs a bed and which house might suit
- Whether you checked the box agreeing to be contacted by text message and phone
We ask how rent will be paid only so we can have the right paperwork ready. It never changes how an application is treated. Please do not send us medical or treatment information, criminal history, Social Security numbers or benefit case numbers through the website. We do not need them to answer you.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the page that sent you here. This comes from our hosting provider's logs and from the Google tag on our pages, described below.
How Wellness Housing Uses Information
- To call, text or email you back about your enquiry, application or referral
- To arrange a tour and, if you move in, to prepare the paperwork for how your rent is paid
- To keep the website working and secure, including filtering out spam
- To understand how visitors use the site and whether our advertising reaches people looking for housing
- To meet legal obligations
Cookies Analytics And Advertising Measurement
Our pages load the Google tag, which runs Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement. These tools use cookies and similar technology to count visits, see which pages are useful and measure whether a visitor who arrived from an ad later contacted us. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
You can limit this. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. You can turn off personalized ads at adssettings.google.com, and you can install the Google Analytics opt out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Some pages show a YouTube video. The YouTube player does not load until you press play, and once it loads, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Our website does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
Text Messages And Phone Calls
If you check the consent box on one of our forms, you agree that Wellness Housing may contact you by text message and phone call at the number you provided about your enquiry, application or referral, including tour scheduling, move in details and occasional messages about openings. Messages may be sent by automated means. Consent is not a condition of housing or of applying. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt in data and consent are never shared with or sold to anyone else. We share phone numbers only with the service providers that deliver our calls and messages, and only so they can deliver them.
How Information Is Shared
Wellness Housing does not sell your personal information.
We share information only in these situations:
- Service providers that run the website and deliver your message to us, including our website host, our email delivery service and our phone and text messaging providers. They may use the information only to provide those services.
- Rent assistance programs, at your request. If you ask us to help with General Relief through DPSS or another program, we share what that program needs to complete the housing verification paperwork.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of residents, staff or the public.
We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
How Long Wellness Housing Keeps Information
Form submissions arrive by email. We keep them for as long as we need them to answer you and, if you become a resident, for as long as needed to manage your residency and keep the records the law requires. After that we delete them.
How Wellness Housing Protects Information
The website is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions go only to the people at Wellness Housing who answer them. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so please do not send anything through the website that you would not want sent by email.
Your Choices And Rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. Children
Wellness Housing rents beds to adults. The website is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes To This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
